Grayson & Bayne: 2

Letter 2: Big Cheese

Grayson & Bayne 2

3 Phoenix Moon, 1731
Dear Scout Grayson,

It is my experience that you must first offer something in negotiation before you can request something. That is why you find yourself reading my reply in the presence of my diplomatic envoy and one chained prisoner. All three men I trust with keeping our great nation’s interests at heart.

The chained man is a northern prisoner of war, a token to smooth over the negotiations. I expect you treat my envoy as if they were golden eggs. If I receive them not as deployed, I shall be most upset, and will find very imaginative ways to punish you.

Signed – Col. Obar Bayne
